What to see when in Rome… or in this case, USA... in July?

One of our other outdoor excursions during our NJ visit was on July 4th.  At night.  In a park.  With thousands of people.  Yup…. FIREWORKS!!  

My parents usually don’t move out for this occasion, so it was fun for them too.  We made a picnic out of it. Took our lawn chairs and a soft cooler full of snacks… actually full dinner.  We had a great view, with no one crowding us. It was quite an enjoyable evening.
