Time to hunt some Orcs... I mean Trolls.

Trolls?!!?  In Illinois?!?  What the what?  You don't hear that very often. Must investigate,

We went to The Morton Arboretum, because that is where they are supposedly hanging out and setting up camp.  Aniko and I packed our snacks, water, camera gear, spy equipment, traps, hiking gear, sun protections and internet communication devices... got in the car and headed southwest. Arriving to the arboretum, right away we saw one and he did NOT look happy. Throwing boulders at all those entering and coming near them.  Aniko and I looked at each other with a "what did we get ourselves into" expression on our faces.  Then thought, pffft... easy peasy, we're scouts.

Parked the car, found out more info about how to approach them at the visitor center and then headed out.  We took the car as close as possible to each and then grabbed our gear and searched them out on foot.  Always being cautious of course, not to startle them.  Captured their souls and physical appearances from multiple angles with our sorcery box of metal and glass, so as to be able to study them in the future.  Some were setting up traps, while another one was protecting their land.

We had great success and found 6 of them... but where is their home?  Where do they retreat to? Onward!!  After walking through one of the darker, more enchanted forests ... we stumbled upon what seemed like their camp.  We approached slowly, and was fortunate enough to find it unoccupied. I guess they were still out and about on their daily chores. We left everything as is and left before they returned.

After a long day out in the sun, we found a quiet picnic area, refueled ourselves and headed home.  We were quiet satisfied with our expedition (more pics below) and found them to be harmless. The state of Illinois has nothing to worry about.
